Frequently Asked Questions

Logistics, quality, ordering, payment.

1 What is the typical lead time for international granite shipments?

We typically require about 4-6 weeks for production and quality checks on a bulk granite order before it's ready to ship. Sea freight transit can take an additional 2-4 weeks or more depending on the destination port. In total, you can expect a timeframe of roughly 6-8 weeks from order confirmation until final delivery. We will always communicate the estimated lead time when you place your order so you can plan your project timeline accordingly.

2 How do you handle shipping logistics and documentation for international orders?

We manage the entire logistics process to make it easy for you. Granite orders are shipped via ocean freight (usually in 20-foot or 40-foot containers), and we offer standard shipping terms like FOB (Free On Board) and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) based on your preference. Our team takes care of all export documentation, including the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and any required certificates. We also coordinate with reliable freight forwarders and can assist with shipping insurance and customs clearance advice to ensure your order arrives safely and on schedule.

3 How is the granite packaged for safe international delivery?

We use industry best practices to pack granite for export, ensuring it arrives intact. Slabs and tiles are secured in sturdy, seaworthy wooden crates with reinforced straps and padding between pieces to minimize any risk of breakage. We use heat-treated wooden packaging materials suitable for international shipping. Each crate is labelled and sealed, and if required, we can arrange cargo insurance for additional protection during transit, giving you peace of mind.

1 What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for export orders?

Our standard MOQ for international shipments is one full 20‑foot container load — roughly 400–450 m² of 2 cm slabs (or 250–300 m² of 3 cm slabs) — which gives the best freight cost per unit. We also accept pilot orders for new partners: smaller volumes, sample slabs, or mixed-container loads can be arranged so you can evaluate the stone and our process before committing to a full container.

2 How do I place a bulk order for granite?

Placing a bulk order with us is straightforward and customer-friendly. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Inquiry & Quotation: Contact us with your requirements (desired granite type/color, dimensions, finish, and quantity). Our sales team will promptly provide a detailed quotation and can arrange sample pieces if needed, while also answering any initial questions.
  2. Order Confirmation: Once you are satisfied with the quote, we'll finalize a proforma invoice and sales agreement. We typically require a signed purchase order and a deposit payment (or an irrevocable letter of credit) to confirm the order and begin production.
  3. Production & Shipping: We then manufacture the granite to your specifications, keeping you updated with progress reports and photos. After a final quality inspection, the products are securely packaged and shipped. We handle the logistics and provide you with all the shipping documents (bill of lading, etc.) so you can track the shipment until it reaches your port.

3 What payment terms do you offer to international buyers?

We offer secure and convenient payment terms for our international customers. Typically, we request a 30% advance deposit to initiate production, with the remaining 70% balance due upon shipment. The balance is usually paid against a copy of the Bill of Lading or through an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight, ensuring both parties are protected. We accept wire transfers (T/T) for simplicity, and for larger orders we can discuss flexible payment arrangements if needed. Our priority is to provide a smooth, transparent transaction process that builds trust and long-term partnerships.

1 Where do you source your granite blocks from?

We hand-pick blocks directly from government-licensed quarries across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh — the heart of South India's granite belt. Sourcing in person (rather than through intermediaries) lets us verify origin, choose specific colour bands, and reserve full quarry batches for larger orders so the shipment stays consistent slab-to-slab. Material test certificates are available on request.

2 What finishes and sizes are available for your granite products?

We offer granite in a range of sizes and finishes to suit your project needs. Standard slab thicknesses are typically 2 cm and 3 cm, and we supply large slabs that can be cut to your required dimensions. We also provide cut-to-size tiles upon request. Available surface finishes include polished (high-gloss), honed (smooth matte), flamed (textured, ideal for outdoor use), bush-hammered, and leather finish, among others. If you have specific size or finish requirements, we can often accommodate custom orders given adequate volume and lead time.

3 How do you ensure the quality and consistency of your granite products?

Quality and consistency are top priorities for us at every stage of production. We source our granite from trusted quarries and, for large orders, often select blocks from the same quarry batch to maintain uniform color and pattern. Our experienced quality control team inspects each slab and tile for any defects or inconsistencies, making sure they meet our standards before shipping. We also welcome third-party inspections or even customer visits during production, and we can share detailed photos and videos of the process. This transparency ensures you can be confident that the granite you receive will meet your expectations.
